Why the Rich Also Need Your Help

Have you noticed that whenever someone has a rich friend, family member, or colleague, the relationship often becomes one-directional?
We ask them for money.
We ask them for favors.
Even on their birthdays, we still expect them to “send something.”

But pause for a second
Do we genuinely believe rich people don’t need help too?

The truth is, the richer people get, the more isolated and misunderstood they often become.
Their problems might not be financial, but life doesn’t magically become easy. Loneliness, pressure, expectations, boredom, stress - all these things increase with wealth, not reduce.

Yet the irony is this:
Those who need non-financial support the most are the ones who rarely receive it.

Are you guilty of this?

This might be a good time to reflect.

How to Help the Rich People Around You

If you have someone wealthy in your life, try this:

  • Pay attention to what they actually need.

  • Offer your time or small acts of service (running an errand, helping with something simple).

  • Give small thoughtful gifts like a book, a flower, or even a favourite local food.

  • Celebrate them without expecting anything in return.

  • On their birthday or special event, give instead of asking.

Try it even once.
You might be surprised how deeply they appreciate it, and how much stronger your relationship becomes.
