BOOST CONVERTER USING UC3843

⚡ DC-DC Boost Converter Design Using UC3843 ⚙️

I recently designed and simulated a DC-DC Boost Converter circuit using EasyEDA, powered by the UC3843 PWM controller IC.

The goal of this design was to step up a 12V DC input to around 48V DC output, achieving an output power range of 100–150W — ideal for power supply, renewable energy, and battery-powered systems.

Key components include:

🔹 UC3843 IC – handles PWM control and regulation

🔹 IRFZ44N MOSFET – serves as the main switching element

🔹 MBR2060 Schottky diode – for fast recovery and high efficiency

🔹 100µH inductor and 1000µF capacitor – for energy storage and ripple filtering

🔹 10k trimpot – for output voltage adjustment and fine-tuning

Through this project, I deepened my understanding of:

✅ Switching power supply design principles

✅ Control feedback using error amplifiers

✅ Simulation and layout optimization in EasyEDA

✅ Component placement and PCB design best practices

This design is part of my final year project in Electrical Engineering, focusing on power electronics and converter systems — combining theory, simulation, and practical implementation.
