The truth is harsh: we’re insignificant on a cosmic scale. Even our own families will still eat dinner the same evening we die. They’ll remember us, yes, but life will move on. More people have died than are alive, and about 98% of everyone who ever lived is already gone. Whatever we achieve—no matter how grand—will be forgotten. Names fade, legacies fade, everything gets erased by time. So while we’re here, we should live well. Stay humble. Avoid causing harm. I’ve never seen anyone who builds and doesn’t get built up in return, and I’ve never seen anyone who destroys without being destroyed by the same force eventually.
