Interest is not something people are born with; it’s cultivated. You must make people see, feel, and experience the value of what you’re offering. So, how do you make others come inside your compound and participate? 1. Convince them it benefits them People are naturally self-interested. They don’t care about your vision until they see what’s in it for them. Before you talk about your idea, talk about their problems — what they lack, what they wish was easier, what frustrates them daily. Then show how your idea directly solves that. Don’t make it about you — make it about them. 2. Show proof that it benefits them Claims don’t move people — evidence does. Humans trust what they can see and verify. Show results, testimonials, or examples. If your idea has worked for you or someone else, display it clearly. Proof turns curiosity into belief. If you’re building something new, use demonstrations. When people see value with their own eyes, resistance melts. 3. Give them a free taste of the benefits Curiosity gets attention, but experience creates conversion. Let them experience the value firsthand — even a small piece. If your product is food, give them a bite. If it’s a technology, give them limited access. If it’s a community, let them attend one session or event for free. Once people taste genuine value, they’ll want more. But if you invite them and they find no substance, they’ll leave immediately. The goal is to make their first experience rewarding enough to create a desire for more. In essence: People don’t follow ideas. They follow benefits they can feel. Interest is not imposed — it’s earned through relevance, proof, and experience.
