5 Philosophy • Posted by u/fireman 11 days ago Speak With Purpose It is better to stay silent when you are unsure of what to say than to speak endlessly and spread confusion. Do not speak for the sake of speaking. Your words are like stones in your arsenal—each one should strike a target. When you speak without purpose, just to fill the air, you waste a stone and the birds will fly away. Speak meaningfully, and only when necessary. When you are asked to speak, be honest: if you know, say you know; if you don’t, admit that you don’t. Do not invent lies just to gain attention—it only ruins your reputation. Truthful words strengthen society. Lies and rumors weaken it. Information spreads faster than we imagine; a single false word can travel far and cause great harm. But a true word can cure ignorance and confusion. Let us learn to speak truth, not lies or rumors. Let us seek sound and reliable knowledge, and when we are unsure, let us find out more. A society is fed by information—feed it falsehood and it becomes corrupt, sick, and poor; feed it truth and it becomes healthy and strong.
