Stop body shaming: We are tired!

Every day, someone has something to say about another person’s body.

“Ah, you’re fair today. What did you use?”

“You’re getting dark o, hope all is well?”

“This girl is fat.”

“You’re too short.”

“Your voice is hoarse.”

“Why do you walk like this?”

Some people say it like a joke.

Some say it like advice.

But the truth is this: it hurts!!

We have normalised commenting on people’s bodies so much that we forget there is a human being behind the comment .. someone with feelings, insecurities, and battles we don’t see.

Body shaming comes in different forms, and most times it’s not about the body itself… "it’s about disrespect".

This is a reminder:

You don’t need to have an opinion on someone’s body.

If you can’t speak with kindness, silence is also an option.

Indeed! If you can't speak with kindness, silence is the best option.
