Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership in all financial matters, including budget development, planning & reporting; managing the accounts, payroll, liquidity management, investments and financial reporting of business performance.
  • Take the lead on all operational matters, overseeing activities to ensure safe and cost-effective management and ensuring the risk management functions is effective in both granting of new credit and recoveries.
  • To work as part of the Senior management team to contribute financial and operational expertise in the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies, practices, funding proposals and applications.
  • To interact with the Board of Directors, Finance & Audit Committees, by providing timely and accurate financial reports and information to ensure sound financial and operational governance
  • Play an instrumental role in the launch/pivot of a digital banking product
  • Improve operational systems, processes and policies - specifically, better provision of timely and accurate management reporting, information flow and management, business processes, performance management and organisational planning
  • Responsible for ensuring all operational manuals are documented, implemented, and kept up to date and all staff are trained on their use
  • Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of all departments through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between operational support and business development & product delivery.
  • Play a significant role in the long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence
  • Ensuring that profitable margins on products are achieved and maintained.
  • Oversee overall financial management, planning, systems, and controls
  • Provide expert, strategic, and timely advice to the Executive Leadership Team and Board.
  • Assist in the development of financial models, scenario plans, and business cases as required.
  • Preparation of overall annual budget of the bank, including the assumptions and the ratios, Treasury management, and monitoring
  • Demonstrating cost-cutting initiatives aiming at providing the best solution at a lower cost
  • Monthly reporting on financial performance as per agreed KPIs
  • Providing finance-related advice for new product analysis covering accounting, billing, risk management, and taxation.
  • Performing monthly budget review/variance analysis, stress testing/scenario analysis, monthly Trial Balance review and preparation of management accounts

 

Requirements:

  • 10 years experience
  • Degree in a related field
