I remember the day I went job-seeking while waiting for admission into the University. I walked along the road looking for shops with vacancy signs. I finally saw one at a small local eatery that needed a waiter/sales girl.

I went in and spoke with the owner, a huge fair lady. She looked at me and said, “Are you sure you can do this? Why are you looking for such a job? You look like an ajebo.” 🤣

Omo, I told her I could do it. Then she asked if I could turn semo in those huge party pots. Ewee! Semo ke?

I thought I came here for a waitress job? 😭🤣

I told her I couldn’t turn semo and quietly took my leave biko😩.
