3 interaction • Posted by u/victor 2 hrs ago Helpful phone ethics These phone ethics are very Important: 1. When someone is talking to you or having a conversation with you, learn the habit not to press your phone. You can try, okay? 2. When someone calls you on phone, don't put your phone on loudspeaker. It's disrespectful, except the person permits. Cause, why would someone be talking to you over the phone and the whole world around you is hearing him or her? If he wanted to announce your conversation with him to the whole world, he would have drive down to where you are, and borrow a loudspeaker. You Gerrit? Respect their privacy cause the person might say something private. 3. When you miss a call from someone, as soon as you get your phone and see the missed call, hanty, return that call. You don't know why they're calling, they might be calling to save ya life. Stop forming celebrity. And also, no be only you dey pass through something for this life. Learn to return calls. 4. Someone called you on phone, after the call, allow that person to end the call. Ah! Some people are fond of this, na you go call them, na them go rush end call. Na their card? Kilode? 5. The whole aim of sending a text message is to get a reply in few seconds. If we wanted to wait longer, we would have sent a bird...reply faster. I mean normal SMS, not WhatsApp... Someone will send you SMS, you'd see it, and be doing as if you didn't see it. Some of you need to visit your SMS app and attend to those messages you have ignored for awhile. Haba nah? 6. Before you take that your phone to call someone on video call, inform the person first. Ah! I blocked one guy because of that. He have not chatted me before, but everyday, he picks his phone to call me video call. Wetin? Am I holding ya kidney? Ogini? Same is applicable to Voice call. How can I be busy with something else and you're calling me voice call? If I don't pick, you'd get angry. Na you buy the phone for me? Inform the person, they might not be in a good place to answer the call. 7. Use earpiece if you're in a public place and you want to play music. Cause, all these people that just play songs in a public place and they're dancing to it, what's the color of their problem? Your music can be a nuisance to the next person beside you. Use earphone, earpiece or earpod. 8. Stop shouting over the phone. If you're in a noisy phone and your phone rings, you can choose not to answer then, till you leave there, or tell your caller to call you back. Someone is calm at the other end, you are shouting from your end. Help our eardrums nah. 9. This one is applicable to me and 99 others. If you want to beep someone, do it with courtesy. I have stopped it ooo!, I was guilty of this during my school days, but, they no born me well to try it again now. Stop beeping people for like 30 times in 2 minutes, Ara adighi apu gi. 10. When an ELDER chats you on WhatsApp, reply with courtesy. Don't see the message and be acting like amadioha. Go and reply that message. Ahhh! Inwerozi respect? 11. It's a BIG RED FLAG if your disappearing message is turned on. Either you're a male or female, I can't trust you like that. And people won't easily trust you either. How can you turn on Disappearing message? What if you need a specific conversation to clear yourself, and the message is no where to be found? Then, e go clear from your Anya. Keep playing. 🥱 12. Ahhhhh! This one go pain most of una, I no kuku send you. 😅Why on earth should your read receipt be off? Who are you running away from? What's chasing you? Kilo'shele? You'd see someone's message, you'd ignore it in peace, when the person asks, you'd claim and lie that you haven't read it. Alaye, turn it off. Whatever that your reason is, if I read yours and ignore, no talk oo. 13. If you call someone on phone and he doesn't pick, don't call more than twice or thrice. Stop calling people 6 mins call at a stretch, Ara adighi apu gi. I ñuru Kai? I na-ese igbo? If it's not emergency, chillax. Abi, is your intestine missing. 14. If you're sending someone VN on WhatsApp, abeg, dey time your VN, especially if the person is not your close person. You can send a 5 mins VN by cutting it short into 1min each. Why should I open my message and I'm seeing 33 mins VN from one person? Oginikwa? Oga, did you kill someone? Who'd listen to it? You'd wait till Jesus comes. Even normal 2 mins VN dey hard me to listen to especially if it's someone not close to me. My brother's wife is in one group like that, where one of the head will send VN of more than 20mins, I go just dey laugh. 15. If You call someone on voice call, remain on voice call. Don't be too quick to switch to video call. You don't know where the person is. Ahh! Take permission first. Nawaooo. These things are NOT difficult.
