All you need to know about the Pay stack Co-Founder

What you are about to read will evoke different emotions in you, but I will let you decide. This is a story about Ezra (left), Amaka (middle) and NK (right) and a $55,000 loan that unearthed different secrets. This is mainly about Ezra and Amaka or Max.

Around 2011 or earlier, Max started engaging with posts from Ezra on a platform called Twitter (now X) the same way you are likely going to engage with this post. Over time, that engagement on posts morphed into a friendship that lasted for over a decade and took on different forms. 

Ezra is a talented software engineer and one of the brains behind the payment solution, Paystack. He is a millionaire in dollars and a billionaire in Naira and the 39 years old is widely admired as one of the success stories from the tech industry in Nigeria. You may remember him as the guy whom Buhari looked at surprisingly after he received his national award and didn't stand to snap with the President at the time.

After Paystack launched and started gaining mainstream popularity as a preferred payment solution for some merchants and businesses in Nigeria, Max's admiration and affection for Ezra began to grow. This love manifested in numerous public displays of affection, as evident in various comments on Twitter, suggestive of what modern young people refer to as a "green light." Other ladies followed the same pattern with some publicly begging to bear kids for Ezra.

In 2021, Max asked Ezra to loan her $55,000 (the currency sign is correct) to support her brother's school fees abroad. An amount Ezra generously gave her at zero interest. 

The tone of this story is about to change.

I do not know when Max got into a relationship with NK, but I later read about the formation of a "polycule". A polycule is a polyamorous group of individuals connected by their overlapping romantic or sexual relationships. This arrangement included one man and two women who were already in a relationship of their own. I am not privy to how it worked but it was a spectacle that worked well before an obstacle turned it into a ridicule. 

Given irreconcilable differences, Ezra wanted to end the relationship. He reached out to Max, shared his resolution and asked her to propose a payment plan for the $55,000 loan he extended to her in 2021. Max laid out a plan to pay back by 2027/28. Ezra accepted this arrangement without adding any interest.

Days later, Max publicly accused Ezra of being a "miss ogene" (misogynist) and shared details about her relationship with Ezra. While she was doubling down on her claims, something else was brewing. Ezra's posts from around 2011 started circulating again. In those posts, he talked about doing or wanting to do unconventional things in terms of sexual encounters and dealings with pets, coworkers and female friends who visited him.

These disturbing posts led to his suspension from Paystack, a company valued at over $200 million and where he works as its Chief Technology Officer. He also took down his Twitter (X) account.

There are different sides to this story and I will let you make up your mind. 

You do not need to appear awkward to do exceptional things. You can still appear normal, do normal things and achieve extraordinary results. And after achieving extraordinary results in your life, avoid social climbers especially if they are from poor homes.
