This initiative, designed to equip secondary school girls with entrepreneurial skills, financial literacy, and business development knowledge, was launched at the Haliru Abdu Stadium in Birnin Kebbi during this year’s National Women Entrepreneurship Festival, hosted by AKWE. During the event, the Chief Executive Officer of Nasara Foundation, Hajiya Bilkisu Muhammad Nasir, emphasized the programme’s dedication to empowering young girls in Kebbi State. “At Nasara Foundation, we are deeply committed to the development of the girl-child. Through our collaboration with AKWE, we will offer training, mentorship, and support to help young girls establish sustainable business ventures,” she stated. Bilkisu expressed confidence that NASEEP would equip participants with the skills needed to become self-reliant, innovative, and job creators rather than job seekers. AKWE President Maryam Bello Bala praised the Founder of Nasara Foundation, Hajiya Zainab Nasare Nasir Idris, for her steadfast support, describing the partnership as a crucial step toward securing a brighter future for young girls in the state. Bala also announced that Nasara Foundation had donated N22 million to AKWE, which will be distributed among 250 members of the association to enhance their businesses. She assured that the funds would be used effectively and pledged to deliver tangible results in the coming year, highlighting past beneficiaries who had successfully grown their businesses with previous seed.
