Federal Polytechnic, llaro Matriculates 11,316 Students, Warns Against Indiscipline

11,316 students matriculated by the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, for the 2024/2025 academic session have been cautioned against all forms of indiscipline and acts capable of bringing the institution into disrepute.

The new intakes were enrolled for about 50 academic courses in 8 schools of study, for the award of National Diploma, OND and Higher National Diploma HND in full and part time programmes, as well as OND and HND Programmes under the Open, Distance, Flexible, and e-Learning levels, ODFeL.

Addressing the gathering the Polytechnic's Rector, Dr Mukail Akinde, cautioned the Matriculants listed the

"forbidden behaviour" to range from cheating during examinations to stealing, posting of nude photographs on social media, indecent dressing and drug abuse, as well as disobedience to lawful instructions, cultism, walking on lawns and littering the Campus.

Dr Akinde acknowledged the vital roles and commitment of the entire Polytechnic community, including the past management of the institution while also applauding the parents and guardians for partnering the Federal Polytechnic llaro to provide the best possible technical education for their children.

He affirmed that the institution's commitment to providing students with the necessary skills to become well-rounded and self - sufficient individuals.
