LASUSTECH Matriculation Oath.

 Commitment to Academic Excellence and Discipline

On admission to the Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), I solemnly and sincerely promise and declare that:

(i) I will pay due respect and obedience to the Vice Chancellor and other officers of the University, and that I will faithfully observe all regulations, which may from time to time be issued by them, for the good order and governance of the University;

(ii) I will not either alone or in conjunction with other students engage in any act of violence or other improper conduct or in acts calculated to damage the property of the University or the community;

(iii) During the period of my study in this University, I shall not belong to any secret cult and shall not in any way aid or abet cultism or fail to disclose to the authorities of this University, or the Police, the identity of cultists I shall become aware of, or the activities of cultists which shall, thereafter, come to my notice;

(iv) I will not participate in any activity of any student organization(s) unless such is/are duly registered with the University as at the time of the activity or membership;

(v) In case of any breach of any other clauses of this oath, the Vice Chancellor shall be empowered to initiate disciplinary action against me in accordance with the laws and regulations of the University;

(vi) My parents/guardians have guaranteed my resolve to abide by this declaration which is made under oath truthfully and in accordance with the Oaths Act.
