Northerners brutally killed in Uromi, Edo state

Sixteen Northerners were traveling from Port Harcourt to Kano for Sallah celebrations. They had their matches and Dane guns loaded in a lorry. Upon reaching Uromi, they were stopped by local vigilantes. When the weapons were discovered, chaos erupted.

An alarm was raised, an enraged youths swarmed the scene. The travelers were dragged out, brutally hacked to death, and then set ablaze. In one horrifying moment, a victim was seen being wheelbarrowed into the flames. By the time the police arrived, only four remained barely alive.
